Belgrade electro machiney work hard and there's no sing It would be ever stopped . ENDYMON and I'M have ( finally ) finished their albums and some lucky listeners will get couple of copies in the LFO program on the 08th February 2002. Belgrade Cold Wave band WAVEFORM has got new machines and they work on total different material from trax on LFO Sampler Vol. 1 . Some recordings are to be done soon . ENDYMION fans are able to download new trax at ENDYMION official web site at www.3d-io.com/dewlorr … There are plans that ENDYMION perform with Duracell DJ in Belgrade on 28.02.2002.

Oh Yeah , EG have visited US … We aren't able to express all our happiness that we have REAL friends in Slovenia . We are free to announce that our cooperation will be activated very soon …. EG have got all actual electro material from Belgrade and Serbian electro scene and some independent labels in Slovenia will be contacted in order to release it
over there . We have got CD of the best Slovenian electro band SILENCE that works for German Chrome label which hosts DAINE LAKAIEN . This CD has been fully presented in last LFO radio program .

ANNE CLARK online after being hacked
And yes, it was not only the Side-Line pages that were under threat by hackers. The official Anne Clark webpage has been hacked as well and was offline for 25 days while the online team behind the page were trying to sort out what went wrong. Just like with the Side-Line pages, the Anne Clark webpage got hacked from Romania with the DNS servers of its provider being completely ruined. The page is now back available. In related news, Anne Clark has just returned from 2 succesful concerts in Spain on January 18th in Valencia and January 19th in Barcelona.
PROJECT X offer free MP3's
On Monday January 28th 2002 Project-X officially releases the new limited edition CD "Closing Down The Systems" and at the same time the band opens its archives of unreleased and rare mixes/versions for free download from their webpage. In a statement the band says that the whole idea with the new limited edition cd was to give the fans the chance to finally get those hard-to-get versions. But after selecting 19 tracks for "Closing The Systems" Project-X still had a lot of material left. So starting from January 25th the band will release 4 tracks for download and then every 10-14 days update with even more tracks.
RECOIL marketing lacks succes, says Wilder
In an interview with the Electrogarden Network, the former Depeche Mode member Alan Wilder says he has been basically "re-charging the enthusiasm batteries" over the last year. It also seems the musician is not really happy about how Mute is marketing Recoil: "they don't have a clue how to market my music - so they just wait until I give them something and then go through their usual 'reactive' marketing approach." And he continues: "I must admit I find it difficult to get enthused about making more records which will receive little support and will be perceived as 'difficult'. It can make one feel like giving up sometimes.
JOY DIVISION singer's house goes on sale
The two-bedroom terraced cottage in which Joy Division singer Ian Curtis lived and committed suicide is up for sale (see detail). The news comes from the virtual newsreader Ananova. Property website Rightmove describes 77 Barton Street in Macclesfield as being "ideal for first-time buyers". Curtis hanged himself there in May, 1980, on the eve of his band's first US tour. A spokeswoman for Bridgfords told Ananova that so far no Joy Division fans have been bidding on the house.
Exclusive: Copyprotection removed from DEINE LAKAIEN album after troubles
In an interview with Side-Line, Ernst Horn reveals that the latest Deine Lakaien album had its copyprotection removed after the system failed to work. Ernst Horn: "The official CD will be without the copy protection because there were quite some problems with the system. One thing for instance was that the CD still was sometimes playable on a MAC or PC and sometimes not, so it doesn't work properly. Secondly there were some CD-players that didn't play the disc, especially car cd-players and older cd-players." And Ernst adds "It's not something that keeps me awake, on the other hand several small bands and labels will suffer from this." Copy kills (indie) music... New DAS ICH album delayed
The new Das Ich album, provisory entitled "Kreuz", will not be released in February as announced, but in April. Also, the release will come in a double CD. A tour is being scheduled as well and will have a total new live set-up apart from the Stefan Ackermann and Bruno Kramm who make out the core of the band. More news as we get it. IRIS complete new album
Iris, formerly known as Forgiving Iris, has completed several new tracks. While there were rumours that the project was laid to rest, we can now confirm that the band's newest release will see the light of day. The album won't be out for another couple months but we hope that this message will keep the Iris fire burning inside the heart of all those synthpop fans around. For those who haven't heard Iris yet, check on the band's website and purchase their first CD "Disconnect" and its singles that were all released on the great A Different Drum label aka ADD. For your info, the band reached #8 on the DAC charts in Germany, headlined many successful live shows in the U.S. and were one of A Different Drum's top sellers.
RAZED IN BLACK goes to Hollywood
Well, sort of. Razed In Black from Hawai arouse news again with their music-support of Ginger Snaps : The Movie which contains the track "Overflow". Other films that include music by these Hawai electro bunnies are "Carrie 2", "Mystery men", "Strange life" and "Mission hill". In further news, Cyberlab v3.0 includes the Dj r<i>b trance remix of "Oh my goth".
Best of and new album coming up for DER PRAGER HANDGRIFF
Our correspondent Jens Krause informs us that a "Best Off" from Prager Handgriff will be released in the US in February. The new album "Tausend Feuer" on the other hand is expected to be released in april 2002. Prager Handgriff are one of the pioneers of german electronic body music who fight with a strong political engagement against facism, right energy and social miscircumstances. Therewith they owe a special status in the scene and today they count to the most known bands of the genre. Fans of Prager Handgriff can download mobile melodies of the band on www.handy.de.
E-CRAFT conquers USA
While E/Craft's new album "Dos Unit" has just been released, there's some good news for the USA fans. Our correspondent Jens Krause informs that the band's latest EP "Faradayscher Käfig" is also scheduled for a release in a US edition this Autumn. E/Craft stand for hard electro, material for the top electro-front, energetic and hot. With their 1999 release "Electrocution" they could widen their fanbase to a large amount worldwide, including the USA. In December E/Craft gave their US live debut in front of a sold out New York "Batcave" in front of over 800 people. Fans of E/Craft can download mobile melodies of the band on www.handy.de.

Last night we had opportunity to put and play brand new BLACK RAIN and NoiTekk items in CD players during our last radio show . After months of contacting each other , one of the ELECTRO GROBARJI ( Ljubljana - Slovenia ) is coming to Belgrade . As we wrote earlier - EG is the same organisation in Slovenia as LFO is here in Yugoslavia . The man who is coming is Mateva Hrovat ( an electro/goth DJ ) and the reasons of coming are negotiations about our cooperation in the future . The first of all are concerts ( our electro bands in Slovenia or Slovenian electro bands in Belgade ) . Now it's very possible and we are happy to announce that we are very close to bring you a very popular US electro - industrial DJ and promoter from Indianapolis ( Indiana ) here in Belgrade . The Person is Gretchen Cooper ( that is a girl and we find it is pretty great for promotion of Industrial music ) and she is in this kind of work for years . She is oranizing electro industrial tours and concerts for bands and is doing DJ parties in middle US . She dj-ed on many concerts before performing of bands such as ( recently ) : STROMKERN , ANGELS AND AGONY , … After almost 2 months of talking and working we are really very close to make a big ELECTRO INDUSTRIAL PARTY by DURACELL DJ aka Cooper Top and LFO DJ Team ( DJ ZLAYA & ALEXANDAR ZEC ) in Belgrade . Side project for FRONT 242 member
Patrick Codenys of Front 242 has released a new musical project called Gaiden together with New York techno DJ Steve Knoll. The first results of this collaboartion will be available as a 12" vinyl and MCD entitled "Point Blank". A full-length album will follow shortly. Included on the 12" is a remix by Speedy J. According to our colleagues from Releasemagazine, Gaiden sounds like Front 242 mixed with American techno. Most songs are instrumental. Exclusive distribution in Europe is handled by Lost and Found.

Good news from the Dirk Ivens camp, the first selftitled tape of his older project ABC is now available for download again. To download these fine pearls of early Belgian electropop it sufices to visit Dirk Ivens' official page. The downloads are available in the discography section. Expect the other tapes to be available soon, however note this: the files will be available in rotation as the page has not enough webspace to host them all.

Debut release for FROGPAD
The combined French / Philippine electronic pop band Frogpad is preparing the release for their first 12-track album "Scheme" on March 5th 2002. The band which is signed as first to Ubahn Records will be released by Pandaimonium in the GAS countries. Frogpad is also preparing gigs with possible plans for Belgium, Spain, Netherland, Czek Republic, Canada, Yugoslavia and Germany. In the meantime you check on the band's "Lessons of faith" track included on the compilation "The songs of pain" out on Pandaimonium in February 2002 or have a listen to the below downloads. For sure a band to follow with attention.

New download from APB
Apart from rehearsing for their upcoming World In Harmony Tour and producing Echo Image's new single and Computorgirl's debut EP, the band also prepared a small new-year gift. Thegift consists of a small mp3 of "Spindizzy". The track is taken from the band's forthcoming album "Harmonizer". Other downloads that are still available at the band's website are a demo version of "Until The End of The World" and the original version of "Unicorn".

Swarf in studio with DE/VISION - WOLFSHEIM producer
The UK act Swarf are currently working hard in the studio on new material for the forthcoming album. The band will therefor also be spending some time working with producer Jose Alvarez-Brill in his Belgian studio. You may expect some preview MP3s of new songs on the band's website in the coming months. Swarf's first release "Fall" is available at the Side-Line store and is highly recommended by the Side-Line staff. Don't forget to see Swarf live at work during the Euro-Rock indoor festival on January 26th!
