ELECTRO GROBARJI or simply SLOVENIA CALLING

Contact between Ljubljana and Belgrade is established again . We were contacted by Mateva , an electro / goth DJ from Ljubljana , of ELEKTRO GROBARJI ( The Electro Tomb ) Organisation from Ljubljana , Slovenia . EG's activities in Slovenia are closely similar to what LFO is doing here in Belgrade so that it's not strange that we contacted each other . As Mateva says , they organize goth - industrial parties once per month in Ljubljana and provide all goth/electro audience in Slovenia with news by ELECTRO GROBARJI official web site . Of course , it's the only beginning of cooperation with people like us from Ljubljana .
We hope we shall establish " THE LJUBLJANA - ZAGREB - BEOGRAD AXIS " soon .

FUNKER VOGT backcatalogue re-issued

Funker Vogt fans can rejoice. After being out of stock since quite some time, the Zoth Ommog released albums "Thanks for Nothing", "We Came to Kill" and "Execution Tracks" are now being re-released in Germany through RepoRecords. All Cds will be released in high qualitiy digipacks, each with two rare bonustracks, digitally remastered and booklets containing all the lyrics.

SCAPA FLOW reunion

In December 2001 Scapa Flow will return to the light of day with the 16-track compilation cd "Pax Vobiscum 1988-2001". The release is a compilation of all the hits from early important work such as "The Guide" and "Chased By Sunset", but also with less old material such as the 1997 track "Birds On A Wire" and the 2001 track "Like Lovers Do". The band's last work dates back from 1994 and was the album "Heads Off To Freedom" released on Energy Records.

NEON ELECTRONICS launches new single

This week the first Neon Electronics aka Dirk Da Davo (Ex Neon Judgement) single entitled "Nice & Sexy" will be launched. An EP containing 4 tracks is scheduled for december 2001 and will be reviewed in the Side-Line checklist! Release of the Neon Electronics full-CD entitled "System Rivièra" is expected for January 7th. An official "Showcase" concert will follow on January 15th, 2002 at Studio Athanor (Brussels). More details as we receive them.

New COIL album on Nothing Records

Coil's long-awaited album "Backwards" is being renamed '"The World Ended a Long Time Ago" and will be released on the famous Nothing Records label. No release date is known yet. The release will be happening directly through Nothing and not Interscope. In further news, there will not be a domestic reissue for "Scatology" or "Horse Rotorvator" by Nothing. This was prevented by Some Bizarre's labelboss Stevo. Coil will however re-release "Loves Secret Domain" domestically.

" First electro festival in Yugoslavia

Good news reaches us from Belgrade. DJ Zlaya reports us that on December 8th Yugoslavia will have its first electro festival at Student's Cultur Center in Belgrade. Bands that will perform are Waveform (Belgrade), Endymion (Belgrade), Mono - Ton (Belgrade), I'M (Nis/Belgrade), Black Sheep Screaming (Omoljica), Kinovia (Jagodina) and Alone In Heaven (Belgrade). The promotional "LFO sampler Vol. 1" is to be released this week and will include works of most of the bands. This release is only for promotional use, only a very small number of copies will be set for sale. The festival will also be recorded and released on CD. All interesed Electro - Industrial labels , DJ's and Radio Shows should send their postal address in order to get a copy. The festival is organized by the Low Frequency Oscillation radiostation team who is closely operating with Side-Line for news gathering. To hear Side-Line news in Belgrade, tune in on SKC Radio Belgrade 107.9 FM, every Friday from 23h PM to 2h AM with Alexandar Zec, DJ Zlaya, Nikola Vitkovic & Alexandar Kandic. "

CHRIS PETERSON leaves FLA

In an interview with Release Magazine, Chris Peterson from Front Line Assembly revealed that "he has no plans for FLA in the future whatsoever". Peterson also said that his experience with FLA has helped him grow both personally and as a programmer. It however also took a lot of time away from his own projects. "The time has come for me to focus on my own work, and diversify in terms of any other projects that I contribute to", says Peterson. Nevertheless Peterson would like to tour with FLA for one last time, especially in Europe.

VNV Nation "Futureperfect" has a release date

It's taken months of unofficial murmerings, but now Dependent can finally announce the release date for VNV Nation's long awaited album "Futureperfect". It has been set for January 28th, 2002. The record will feature eleven new songs, and the band is currently contemplating a limited edition as well. In further news, "Beloved" has been chosed as the second single and will be out on January 7th.

PROJECT X limited edition album in December

One of Swedens biggest hard electronic exports returns with a limited edition CD called "Closing Down The Systems". The CD which holds 19 tracks + hidden extras (playing time over 76 minutes) will only be released in a special fold-out digipak in a worldwide limited edition of 1000 copies. The cd holds only rare and unreleased tracks/versions + 3 live tracks taken from the band's german tour in 2000 and from their US tour in 2001. To follow up this release the band will perform at 2-3 Scandinavian dates in January 2002 taking their friends frun Run Level Zero with them as support. A brand new album and single is expected to hit the storeshelves in the first half of 2002.

CULTURE KULTUR on US soil

Spanish EBM act Culture Kultür will be giving their first performance in the U.S. on December 13th, 2001 at Das Maschine in Orlando, Florida. EM Control will be the supporting act. A second performance will take place in NYC. Doors open at 9pm. Show at 11pm sharp. Tickets are $12 in advance and $15 at the door (day of show). $2 beer and wells ALL night. This is an all ages show. Tickets go on sale Thursday November 22 (Thanksgiving night) at DM (dj booth) and Friday at Waxtree Records and The Shop in Melbourne. LFO ELECTRO FESTIVAL and CD Compilation will happen soon

This most important happening that will mean The Birth of The Local Electro scene is scheduled for 8. December in SKC . All actors are known : WAVEFORM ( Belgrade ) , ENDYMION ( Belgrade ) , MONO-TON ( Belgrade ) , I'M ( Nis / Belgrade ) , BLACK SHEEP SCREAMING ( Omoljica ) , KINOVIA ( Jagodina ) and ALONE IN HEAVEN ( Belgrade ) . The promotional CD compilation is to be released next week . It will consist works of all bands except ALONE IN HEAVEN that is stopped all studio activities . This will be the best way for making all audience familiar with these bands and their material . This release is determined only for promotional use and a very small number of copies will be set for sale . Some of material will be presented in LFO radio broadcast tonight and few lucky listeners will get this CD . Although it was until now only available through Nettwerk, the Skinny Puppy "Video Collection" will now be released in Europe as well on DVD by SPV. The releasedate is set for November 26th. The DVD will feature every Puppy video from 1984 to 1992 with the exception of "Worlock". You can now pre-order the DVD via Amazon.de, our partner in crime!

COMMON DREAM live at work in Germany + debut album

Polish upcoming electro-pop band Common Dream is now recording its yet untitled debut album. The release date will be anounced later, but the album will be out early next year. Before the album the band will release a CD-maxi-single entitled "Someone could" with remixes by Distain!, Psyche, Obsc(y)re, Colony 5 and God's Bow. The CD-single and album will be released by the Polish label Black Flames Records. German fans will be able to see the band at work at two dates, December 25th and 26th, together with Melotron.

PERFIDIOUS WORDS live in Mexico City

The german duo Perfidious Words will play live in Mexico City on December 1st, 2001 at DADA X Club (Bolivar 31, 2nd floor, Centro Historico) presented by Metropolis Org. The tickets will be $12 USD/$120 Pesos (In advance/at the door). The band is a special guest for Strangemode's 8th Anniversary Party, the Official DM Fan Association in Mexico. Hopes are that the band will play new songs from their upcoming album. Do not hesitate the band's latest release that will surely please every Depeche Mode fan due to the close vocal similarity between Dave Gahan and PW's leadsinger!

MARILYN MANSON writing score "Resident Evil"

Marilyn Manson is to write the film score for the forthcoming "Resident Evil" movie. According to the singer, the music will be more electronic than his usual material. Manson is currently working on songs for his new album. The Resident Evil movie is based on the popular computer game of the same name. Milla Jovovich will star in the film as Alice, the Zombie Killer. The movie is due for release in the US in April next year

Remix a song on the next CONCRETE NATURE EP!

Concrete Nature (with eg ex-Abscess Sunny) have signed a new contract with the UK-Label MCT-Productions. A new EP "Plasma Drip" is scheduled for a February 3rd release. The EP will include new tracks, 3 remixes from "Exclusive Audience" by bands such as Assemblage 23, Dark Soho and E-Craft. Finally the two other tracks will consist of a Concrete Nature remix of "Exclusive Audience" and the best remix from the Online-Remix-Challenge the band held. And that's where you all get in because everybody can first of all vote his favourite track from the band's first album "En:crusted" that was released through Gashed/Canada. The seond part of the contest will be that the most wanted track will be uploaded on the band's webpage (Midi-File, Vocals, Samples,...) to do your own remix! The best Remix will be released on the "Plasma Drip"-EP! So start voting now!

No autopilot for next NIN album

NIN's Trent Reznor is already anticipating the recording of the follow-up to 1999's "The Fragile" Album. Reznor will officially begin to work on his fifth studio album after putting the finishing touches
on the DVD that will now see a January 22nd release. "So far the rough blueprint sounds like a reflective return to the form of early albums "Pretty Hate Machine" and "The Downward Spiral"", Reznor said in an interview with Sonicnet. Unlike "The Fragile", which Reznor criticized for lacking a unified feel, the new material will be subject to serious scrutiny at every step before being committed to tape. "It might sound a bit insane, but on a lot of The Fragile it felt like I was writing on autopilot," he said. Reznor hopes to have something out by the Summer, though he quickly added "I didn't say the year in there."

SUICIDE COMMANDO starts working on new full album

Having a break doing live concerts for half a year doesn't mean Johan Van Roy will be relaxing and do nothing. Johan: "We deliberately planned this break to be able to start working on new material for our next full album and single." At the moment no details can be revealed , except that the band hopes to return with new material in the 2nd half of 2002, most likely with a new single followed by a new full album by the end of 2002. In the meantime, those of you who witnessed the band's
live shows in Kassel, London and Stockholm already noticed that a new guest musician joined the band's live forces, namely Torben Schmidt from Lights of Euphoria and the Bloodline label.

New rarities release for PROJECT PITCHFORK

There's a new album coming up from the Project Pitchfork stable including 2CD's with rarities from the band's oeuvre. The new double compilation titled "Collector - lost and found" will have over
140 minutes of material including material from limited releases and side-projects. As a bonus you'll get 20 minutes of unreleased tracks , fully digitally remastered. The release will see the day of light in
December via Candyland Entertainment. The album will NOT be available via normal shops but through various mailorders only.

IMPERATIVE REACTION back on their feet

In a reaction to the long silence of the band, Imperative Reaction say they have recently suffered a temporary setback in the form of a massive loss of data. The band however is currently back working on "Ruined" and it looks things will get finished by the end of December.

NO COMMENT joins Apoptygma Berzerk on their European tour

From the 17th of February 2002 until end of March Nocomment will be on a big tour through Europe. The headliner of the tour is the successful electro-band Apoptygma Berzerk from Norway. Another support for that tour will be Echo Image. Currently Nocomment is in Studio to record their new single "It's not too late". This is the continuation of the successful collaboration between the band and the top-producer. The MCD will also include lots of previously unreleased material. Expect the single to hit stores in February 2002. In spring 2002, when Nocomment celebrates it's 10-year-anniversary of their first CD-release, a new Nocomment album will be hitting the streets. It will be a "best of" (2CD) that includes older and no longer available songs, as well as brand-new and unreleased stuff.

This , one of the greatest , INDUSTRIAL pioneers have been making history and standards for this sort of music for years . This party will be happening ( only for this time ) on Wednesday ( instead of Thursday ) and also from now on will be performed by DJ Zlaya and Alexandar Zec only . Some negotiations with ROOF's officials are finished and all seems that ELECTRO PARTIES are going to get two dates per month to be played . This will give us more freedom of choice what to do and what to make . We are sure our audience may expect a lot of surprise in the near future .
